The City of Detroit seeks to fill an Development Impact Officer position within the Office of Development and Grants Management. The Development Impact Officer will focus on identifying, evaluating and implementing sustainable and impact investing strategies to support priority City of Detroit initiatives. Key tasks of the Development Impact Officer will be to identify and partner with Program Related and Mission Related Investments (PRIs and MRIs) that support City initiatives, as well as work with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and other social impact investment institutions.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in business administration, public administration, public policy, economics, finance, accounting, urban studies, or a closely related field.
Four (4) years of professional experience involving the systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of grants or other financial data is required.
License / Certificates
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Applicants may be required to take written tests or work simulations to illustrate proficiency in other skill sets as may be determined based on the duties and responsibilities to be performed.
